Trauma Therapy

I have a special interest working with women who have experienced sexual trauma. I have worked with adults who have survived trauma as children, and adults who have survived trauma in their adult life. I also have a special interest in working with the Asian American community. As an Filipino American woman, I am aware of the shame and stigma around trauma and mental health. I hope to bring awareness to mental health and challenge the stigma in Asian American communities.

I am drawn to this work because I am passionate about holding space for other and hearing them so they feel understood, and not judged. I feel that being able to sit in the tough emotions with a person whether it be sorrow, sadness or anger, can lead to healing. 

Most importantly, I love to bear witness to changes in people, watching them grow and blossom in new ways. I am amazed when people re-connect with themselves after feeling so disconnected with the world around them, and a find a way back to who they once were.
